Why?

손으로 유리 용기를 잡으면 손의 열이 액체로 전달되어 액체의 부피가 증가하고 아래쪽 유리 용기 내부의 증기압이 높아진다. 따라서 밀폐된 유리 용기 속의 액체는 위쪽과 아래쪽 용기의 증기압이 평형을 이룰 때까지 유리관을 따라 위로 이동하게 된다.

Holding the glass container transfers heat from the hand to the liquid, increasing the volume of the liquid and the vapor pressure inside the bottom of the glass container. Therefore, the liquid in the sealed glass container moves upwards along the glass tube until the vapor pressure in the upper and lower containers is balanced.
